Genius: TED Talk on how a child's first words help us understand the semantic web

Deb Roy, director of Cognitive Machines at MIT, talks about recording audio and video of his son's first three years (or 200,000 hours)  of life as he acquires speech, and parses that data to understand the contextual environment around language development. He then uses those same learnings to understand the correlation between mass media and social media. Absolutely fascinating.
